The morning was filled with the usual Friday activities.  Going to the grocery store and Walmart and stopped at a rummage sale on the way home.  They day care kids arrived at noon and went down for naps right away.  Joey wouldn't nap..... figures.  Steph came home from school about 1:00, they had a half day today.  Steph and I were watching the kids and cuddling them after their naps when the doorbell rang,  It was one of her friends from school.  We invited him in and then the bell rang again, this time the back door, I went to answer the door, in time to see another of her friends head around to the front of the house.  ALtogether, we had 3 males teens hanging out.  They wanted to know if Gus was home, he wasn't , but they hung around to chat with Steph.

Joey and Max were excited to play with the guys skatebaords.  Ever see a 2 yo on a skate board?  Well, after Mary arrived home at 3:45, we took all the kids out side.  The guys thought they could help me trim the hedges, so we went to find the chainsaw and see if we could get it to work.  The girls took the babies to the swings and the guys worked with me.  It wasn't successful, however, they will be back next week with the proper equipment to finish the job.

After that we were discussing screaming.  Yeah, I know, but they are teenagers.  Anyway, they decided that if they were to have a screaming contest they needed water to drink first.  So I went into the house to fetch a pail of water and glasses.  They screaming contest never happened, however, we did get invloved in a water fight.  I admit it, I started it by tossing glasses of water at the guys, then lead everyone over to the water spicket by the garden. 

Joey loves the water hose, and soon, we were all soaked, all 5 teens, all 3 toddlers, and me.  Julio came home about then and we all played around the basketball hoop, just goofing off and being together.  Joey has a Little Tykes hoop so even the little ones played.

After the Day Care kids went home at 5:00, Julio and I got ready to finish the grocery shopping.  The guys gave us money to stop at Taco Bell, so we decided to have Taco Bell too.  We came home with the groceries and dinner and sat in the grass to eat.  While eating the kids talked about having a bonfire in our fire pit, and we decided that it was a good idea, as we needed to get the brush burned.

So on to the fire making and we did get the entire pile burned.  (there was too much to burn at one time, so we added as it burned down.)  I took the guys home at 10:00 and while I didn't get much done in the house today, I spent a good 6 hours outdoors and that feels good. 

You know what?  I love having a bunch of teens having a good time around me.  They played with Joey, they talked with me, they were respectful and helpful, and we all had a great time.
