Chris is working out of Freeport all week, and as I had an appt in Rockford yesterday, I took Joey and went to Freeport after my appt to spend the night with Chris in a motel.  This is the motel that Chris stayed in last fall while we were moving, so Joey recognized it right away. 

As soon as we got into the room, Joey started exploring and found the alarm clock. "Mom, Look, it's just like the one we have at home"  (cause Chris always takes his alarm clock with him)  Then, "Mom, theres supposed to be another bed in here"  We had always been in a regular 2 bed room, but Chris is in a king suite this week, so only 1 king sized bed behind a partial wall, a nice sitting area with a couch, chair, desk, and awesome desk chair, little kitchenette area.  WOW, I was impressed.

Joey and I had a swim, then Chris and Joey played video games while I sat in the hot tub.

Joey and I took a little nap while Chris got cleaned up from work, then we headed out to Applebys' for dinner.  AS we pull into a parking place, Joey says "Dad!. This is the place with the apples on the lamps!"  Goodness!  we hadn't been there since October.

So we take Joey inside and are seated, all the while keeping Joey close, cause he's ready to go exploring.  The waitress stops by to take our drink order. "What would you like to drink this evening?"  Joey is quick to respond.  "Well, I'd like a nice glass of water"  (this is the kids that lives on chocolate milk)  Then he pipes up "and I'd like some food too!"  Chris and I just stared at each other, the waitress smothered a giggle.

When we were ready to order, Joey told the waitress " I'd like noodles with spaghetti sauce please."
